In my opinion these sites are great when you're not interested in having contact or emotionally involve with people but want to go off.

Other then those purposes I don't have any use for them.

Thanks for your input ,it is something i find interesting because i checked ,gaydar ,adam and bgclive all at the same time recently and my attention span for these sites lasted about 4 or 5 days before i saw the whole thing as a waste of time and energy.
Also the nature of that environment and interface makes people on the sites com across as the most shallow,uninspiring human beings whose only attributes are to market themselves as something they are probably not.

These sites obviously have benefits and do serve a purpose for they would not survive if that was not the case.
There are probably millions of people for whom these sort of spaces fill an important part of their lives in being able to connect with other people ,it also meets the needs of those who are deeply closeted or married and fined it difficult to connect with those of a similar sex in everyday life for sexual gratification.

Regardless of how long you communicate with someone over the internet there will always be a fresh start and building of ones awareness of the other person when you both finally decide to meet,because seeing someone in 3d is very different to seeing a picture,hearing them speak and string a sentence of reality in the flesh is very different to reading text on a screen,interacting with their thoughts and them with yours is very different in shared space and time then through the separation of a digital screen.

So in a way you are re-orientating your sense of who they are in relation to who you and they wanted you to imagine them to be.
So why beat about the bush to bother speaking over the net when an exchange of numbers or a meeting for a 3 dimensional interaction would be easier in creating a better understanding of each other?
Am i to bold in my thinking ?
Is there a hidden etiquette of online communication that prevails through peoples minds?
I would suggest a more radical online dating system that does away with silly msgs and pic profiles ,for one with web cam and live phone or skype type computer to computer phone chats.
A site you were only allowed to join if you are willing to communicate through these mediums.
Home in on the detail and do away with bullshit,because there is enough of it on this planet.

The technology is there just the human mind set of fear and uncertainty might prolong its use.

I might be wrong Dheere but i think finding sex in a club is easier then through one of these sites,let me know what you think.

You're right and in addition to what you said, in the clubs you actually see and talk to people and (even thought not best way of meeting people) can communicate.

These sites are handy only if you don't want to go out, don't have a f'budy, no bf, no friends, or simply get kick of fooling others.

Like you I've tried ages ago, but become discouraged by the mentality of these people.

They do serve a purpose and help some individuals but I don't recommend them to be used as the only medium to meet people.

Dating sites or Real life human interaction, am on the Real life human interaction side, cuz u never know who you really are talking too, Scarry huh lol

where have you been hiding,sure real life interactions are cool you learn more about people in 3d then a virtual porthole .
Communication and interaction are now changing and cyberspace is bringing the global tribes even closer together.
Even in 3d you will never truly know the person you meet,but you will defiantly have a better idea of them ,thats why i assume having a live visual and verbal interaction devoid of typing and msg will give more information about that person.


So mali i hung out waiting for you to add some new dynamic and interesting threads after your previous criticism of the site.
