Its been like a year since i joined this site! Hard to believe its been only a year cause i found 3 people on here that i love and care for. Sgc made gave me a sense of community that i previously lacked. These people make me feel like i have known them forever,they are soo amazing.They are all soo diffrent and came from diffrent backgrounds and thats what i love about them. If it wasn't for sgc, i wouln't met these 3 wonderful men...In that note..THANK YOU SGC

Hi Alii and happy anniversary. I am delighted that you have found good friends here. Its what SGC is all about- bringing together the Somali gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and the transgender, to form a friendly, supportive, and collaborative community. There is no SGC without you and the other members. If we don't support each other then who will support us? Al Shabaab? It has been only a year since you joined us and only three years since we went live, but I hope we celebrate our golden fiftieth anniversary out in the open in our homeland waving multicoloured flags and sporting high heels and outrageous wigs while being cheered by everyone on the streets.

As Hiraaye said, SGC wouldn’t have existed without you, and I mean it.

Remember we just created the site but to use it needs work, time, effort and most importantly a courage which all of you have demonstrated it.

Building our own network of friendship is not only the key to our survival but our biggest weapon too, but all within our own time and pace.
