US- Friends of a Waterloo teen who died after being kicked and punched are reporting that his attackers were shouting anti-gay slurs. No one has been arrested in the case.

Sometimes I'm amazed by the rapid success of the gay rights movement. Homosexuality, the love that dare not speak its name, is now spoken freely, while homophobia has quickly become the hate that dare not speak its name - at least if one is running for higher office.

Another gay marriage saved in wake of newly-announced U.S. deportation guidelines

Last week, Janet Napolitano on behalf of U.S. Homeland Security announced high-priority deportation cases will supersede immigration cases which are less-pressing, such as those within a same-sex relationship or within LGBT families. Now, binational couple Alex Benshimol and Doug Gentry will remain safely in the United States after Immigrations and Customs Enforcement announced the closure of their deportation case.
