The Sunday Times has disclosed that the Conservative Party filmed pre-election cinema advertisements that portrayed a gay couple, in a shower "coming out" as Conservative among racy series with references to pornography and teenage pregnancy but were never shown.

US pushing UN status for gay rights group

Free Mexico honeymoon for first Argentine gay newly-weds

Mexico City has offered a free honeymoon to the first gay couple to marry in Argentina under a new law. The couple would have all expenses paid in the Mexican capital and in the beach resort of Cancun, the city's tourism secretary, Alejandro Rojas, said.

UK: Football study finds 93% of fans disapprove of anti-gay abuse

A study of more than 2,000 football fans has found that the vast majority frown upon homophobic abuse shouted from the terraces. The research, carried out by the University of Staffordshire, found that 93 per cent of those surveyed disapproved of the abuse and 60 per cent thought gay footballers should come out of the closet.
