Have you ever heard one word so much? That at the mere mention you insides reject it, You feel repelled, like Dracula’s touch.
You gave me such a veil, That it blanket the world from my eyes, Only what you said was allowed. So much so that I didn’t know what were the truth and lies.
Please don’t say sorry one more time, You had me entranced from day one, I should have seen all the signs, But today the veil has gone.
I’m not saying that you’re the one to blame, Like the tango, it always takes two, But nothing ever stays the same, So that’s it for me and you.
The worst tragedy is all that’s gone, The confusion impaled with that blow. Knowing that we’ll be forever apart Trading pain of the body, Rather than have the unbearable one of the heart.
Crazy thing is, for the biggest unbeliever, To be the one that got hit so hard. No, love is a mysterious force indeed. But I’ll never let it tear me apart. Knowing that one mistake doesn’t define life. Even though it hurt so, It’s only one blow. Learning from mistakes has always been my motto, So today it’s about practicing what you preach.
